Here is the Story of MAX and how his Pure and Innocent Unconditional Love made a so Wonderful Difference to Carlos and his Family!
"Our lives would be unfilled without Animals as they help us with our solitude, teach us how to smile and to love also unconditionally “~PawsFlorida
When I first saw your picture in 2008 while you were still living in Ecuador, I couldn't wait to meet you!! I knew as soon as we met, I would fall in love with you !
Of course, I had many people tell me that German shepherds SHED a whole lot, and that they can have bad tempers and blah blah blah!
I did not care! All that I cared about was meeting you and welcoming you into my family! At the time it was just me my wife and our two kids!
I knew I would love you and take care of you and was ready for the responsibility to own a dog. On the day you arrived we were all so excited to meet you, especially my two oldest Anthony and Alyssa as they have never owned a dog! Even my wife was excited, as she as well, while growing up, never had a dog to call her own!
As soon as we all met you, despite how bad you smelled, we all fell in love!!!
Not only they did fall in love with you, but I know you immediately accepted them to YOUR PACK!
I know the first few months were rough for you having to sleep in the crate, and also stay in the crate while we had school and work, but we had to do this so you that you could learn that doing pee pee in the house would not be tolerated, but as soon as I saw that you understood that going to the bathroom is only acceptable outside, you were allowed to roam free in the house all day and all night!
Getting rid of the crate was such a great accomplishment for you! I was so proud of you when we, finally, were able to get rid of it.
I couldn't believe how fast you were growing! Those beautiful big paws of yours and those big ears eventually seemed so natural on you as our body grew, and yes you did shed a lot, but it didn't matter, we loved you so much Max that we didn't care about having to always vacuum the house.
Max, I use to love taking you to the dog park where you could do whatever you want and swim in the dirty pool! It was so awesome to always see you so happy and full of energy!
I have so many great memories about those unforgettable times! Even the car ride was always fun, as soon you knew exactly where we were going, I could see the excitement in your eyes and how happy you looked knowing you were going to play with your friends.
I wish I could go back in time and relive those days Max!
I am going to miss you so much Max , I know I shouldn't be crying right now, but I can’t help it, OK, Max?
I took a 10 min break, so I could continue to write to you, and about you, Max!
I need you to know that we indeed
love you so much!!
Let's get back to those great times and you should remember, Max that I would take you everywhere, to my mom's house, parties, BBQ at the park! I was so proud to be your dad, not your owner, but your dad!
You taught me how to
love unconditionally!
Whenever you would get sick, or hurt, I would always be so worried for you! I am so happy that nothing ever serious happened to you, except of course that one instance when your testicles would not drop, but we took care of you.
My Dear and Beloved Max, one of my greatest accomplishments in life was when I was able to bring my son home to meet you for the first time as I knew you would never let anything happen to him. Indeed, you were always by his side, you always let him be rough with you and you would always be gentle with him no matter how much he would annoy you! You welcomed him home with open paws and you loved him since day one.
Max, he is going to miss you a lot too! You were his best friend as well as mine, so I promise you I will always make sure that you live in his heart, as you will forever live on mine. I assure you, Max, that he will never forget you! We all never will!
Max, you also opened your paws for my second baby, my beautiful daughter. Last night she said she is going to miss you, Maxi, as she called you! I told her not to worry as you will always live on in her heart as well.
I wish, my Dear Max, that you could have been here longer to see them grow up and see what wonderful adults they will become.
Max you meant so much to us, even during the last few months that you have been sick, when we did every possible to make you comfortable and happy!
We loved you so much Max!
I know, my Beloved Max, that you are in a better place now and I can’t wait till the day I get to feel your kisses on us again!
I am going to miss telling you "you wanna go outside" and see your eyes and ears light up!
You were such a wonderful part of our family, dear Max!
We all learned so much from you and we will honor your memory for the rest of our lives!
Our
Everlasting Love,
Dear Max,
until we meet
again,
my beautiful
Furry Son!
WE ALL DO IMMENSELY
LOVE YOU, MAX!
