Milly
"This was my first portrait.
This was my little princess Milly. When I lost her to cancer I was devastated! She was my best friend and meant more to me than anything else in the world. I wanted a portrait painted of her and when I was quoted prices, they were way more than I could afford so I decided to have a go myself. This was the result. Although I would change so much now, I was very happy at the time with how she turned out. She was 9 years old when she crossed the Rainbow Bridge and she now resides in my living room. I couldn’t bear to be without her so here she stays in her casket with her favorite toy, her paw print and a photograph of her. Milly was the one who started my love affair with art. I haven’t stopped since.!"
Stan
"This is an English Bullterrier painting that I was commissioned to paint as a birthday present. “Stan” I was nervous about painting this dog as I was worried that white can be very difficult to paint because it can look very flat if done incorrectly. The owner was overwhelmed with this painting and cried. Tears of happiness. That is always the best part of any painting. The response is priceless for an artist like me."
Asher
"My most recent painting so far is “Asher”. He was a challenge as dark eyes can be very difficult to paint and the first time, I’ve had to paint them. I think they turned out lovely and gave the dog the gentle look I wanted to achieve. Asher is A boxer cross and was another painting for the owner of bodhi. I really enjoyed painting his coat as I felt more confidence to expand on the colors that I used in previous paintings. I try to improve with each painting and this one was a study of the mussel which I think turned out absolutely beautiful."
"Those who Truly Love all Animals are Beings of a different kind and for sure a better Breed of Humans!" .

George
"This was my second painting. This is my George. He was a rescue Boxer that I rescued from the abusive owner myself. I saw him attacked and I had to intervene. I kept the dog to give him a better life. He became my best friend. He was 10 when I lost him to a stroke. I forgot to mention my friend Roby who has been an incredible support to me through my art. Roby is a professional artist and creates beautiful work. She was kind enough to help me with technique and how to choose the right materials. I think this painting is a huge improvement on my first. This painting now sits beside Milly on my wall.
What I like most about this painting is the painting of the fur and the shadows under his chin."
Ada
"Sadly, the camera I used to take this photograph of the painting wasn’t a good one and has created a hazy look, but I don’t have another. This painting was done for a friend in California. “Ada” is a beautiful German Shepard I enjoyed painting the fur and around the mouth so much on this painting. I used lots of blues and reds to give me the depth and detail of the fur that I was looking for as well as to create the lighted and shaded areas to give it the 3-dimensional loon that all realism artists try to get."
Stan
"This is Bodhi! He’s a beautiful Pitt Bull mix that I was commissioned to paint for a client in California. He was an absolutely pleasure to paint as I was drawn to his eyes. In this painting I painted in a reflection of the owner Taking the photograph of him as a little extra touch which I think is very nice. This painting required around 80 hours work."
"Painting is a blind man's profession. He paints not what he sees, but what he feels, what he tells himself about what he has seen." ~Pablo Picasso
"The painting has a life of its own.
I try to let it come through."
~Jackson Pollock
"A good painting to me has alwaysbeen like a friend. It keeps me company, comforts and inspires." ~Hedy Lamarr
